This prestigious building is located just off Regent Street in the heart of London’s West End.
Our brief was to revitalise this impressive period building by stripping back the layers of recent unsympathetic upgrades. By uncovering, repairing and reinstating key period features that had been either hidden or lost, we looked to create an upmarket residential feel to the common parts. The use of contemporary patterns and finishes for new carpets and tiling added a strong contemporary twist which only further enhanced these grand spaces.
The removal of existing solid infill elements and the use of light colours, instantly opened up these areas, creating an impressive entrance and heightening the sense of space on the journey up through the heart of the building.
For the WC’s on landings, we proposed the use of strong contemporary colours in modern styles and finishes, contrasting very well with the more classic style of the common areas generally.
